Keswick Museum is recruiting for our Board of Trustees

We are a fully accredited museum, managed by a small dedicated team of staff supported by enthusiastic volunteers.

We are seeking new volunteer trustees to help drive our forward plans as we navigate the challenges this year has brought and those ahead. We invite applicants with new and forward-looking approaches who can bring fresh thinking and diverse experiences.

Operations and Volunteer Officer

Contract Type: 12 months fixed term, with the intention to extend

Salary: £10.61 per hour / £20,690 pro rata

Closing Date: 20th September, 9am

0.8 FTE with proposed working pattern of Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday but this could be negotiated for the right candidate.

Role Description:

To provide a warm welcome to all museum visitors, ensuring an exceptionally high standard and consistent level of customer care and safety to all. To co-ordinate volunteer activities and be their primary point of contact within the organisation. To be responsible for the opening, closing, security, and operational health & safety of the Keswick Museum building.
