We don’t want a lot this Christmas, there is just one thing we need, despite the many challenges we have faced during 2020 as a small, independent museum in a rural area we have had successes too and are weathering this storm as best we can. Like everyone we are looking forward to a brighter 2021 when we can put all the exciting plans we have been developing into place with exhibitions to unveil, a new events programme to welcome you back with and lots more of our ever-popular activities. Sign up to our newsletter to be the first in the know!
We just wanna see you standing right outside our door and cant wait for you to get involved with our exciting new fundraising initiatives, that we have been planning by the fireplace. We just want your support to allow us to keep Keswick’s history alive:
Will you Adopt an Object?
Ever wanted to take your favourite museum object home with you – why not adopt it instead?
You can adopt our most popular objects, either for yourself or as a gift, for a year. On adopting you will receive a beautiful, limited edition greetings card with information about your object inside and free admission to Keswick Museum for a year. Your money will mean more than you could ever know: towards caring for Keswick Museum’s collection and ensuring that it is there to be enjoyed by future visitors.
Keeping the Electroliers On!
After a difficult year we are Crowdfunding to help us with the costs of the un-exciting things, the things you should never notice as a visitor, the basics that we all take for granted: keeping the building properly heated to best preserve our collection and the lights on.
It helps when those lights are as fabulous as our Electroliers! We have six bespoke electroliers (electrical chandeliers) made by the Keswick School of Industrial Arts in the Arts & Crafts style, each of which is engraved with the name of the donor.
We have had some lovely feedback from our supporters. Please make our wish come true, all we want for Christmas is your support to reach our target amount.
We are really looking forward to you standing right outside our door, but in the meantime see you for Becky and Digby’s next story! Like our facebook page to find out more.
All we want for Christmas is you!
