About the Community Gallery

The Community Gallery space is for local groups and individuals who would like to showcase their organisation and work. We feature a diverse range of subjects, such as The Quilters’ Guild, Amy’s Care and local artists. The Community Gallery is situated at Keswick Museum next to Café West on the Fitz park level.

Current exhibition

Britta Sendlhofer

From Thursday 28th July, the gallery features a local amateur artist who took full advantage of the Covid lockdowns to re-inspire her love of art.  Describing her work as somewhere between art, craft, and therapy, Britta Sendlhofer enjoys both needle felting and ink drawing and has produced wonderful results, full of colour and character.

She fully embraces life and the land on her doorstep near Threlkeld – be it on the fells, in the fields, or at the end of an ink pen or yarn of wool.
