Keswick and the secret of the Three Bears

Robert Southey wrote the original version of the world’s most famous fairy tale: The Story of the Three Bears.

He lived in Greta Hall overlooking Keswick, and he perfected the story reading it out loud to his children before it appeared in print in 1837.
